Our 2020 Weekend
The Stiff Family
We are a family of six who seek to glorify God in our music and in all our endeavors. We’ve been singing and playing bluegrass gospel together as a family since the fall of 2013. In the bluegrass tradition we play acoustic stringed instruments that include banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and upright bass.

Tom is a Gospel singer/songwriter who lives in the town of Wasaga Beach, off the beautiful Georgian Bay. He has been involved in music since the age of eight.
Most of his adult life has been spent teaching music and entertaining, but has not always been gospel music.
This all changed in 1977, when Tom was serving a 2-year sentence for armed robbery. It was there, that Tom had a life changing experience with the Lord.
We are glad to confirm David Randall to our Saturday program August 22nd 2019
Dave’s rich, powerful vocals and heartfelt stories have been winning over audiences in both Canada and the U.S. for years. Over his solo and quartet career, Dave has received 7 Covenant Award nominations from the Canadian Gospel Music Association for his song writing and performing. His song, I’m Gonna’ Get My Feet Wet recorded with the Torchmen Quartet, won Southern Gospel Song of the Year in 2010.
Canada’s Double Portion
anada’s Double Portion from North Battleford, Saskatchewan is a unique group in many ways. This 5 piece Gospel band is made up of parents Duncan & Debbie Hemmerling and 7 of their 10 children. Juggling homework and musical instruments is a daily routine for the youngest Hemmerling children. They trade in riding the school bus for riding across the country in Canada’s Double Portion tour bus for almost half the year.
2019 marks the 37th year of ministry for this veteran group. Originating with Duncan and his three sisters, Canada’s Double Portion has crisscrossed the continent from Newfoundland to British Columbia, Georgia to Alaska. Three decades of travel have provided unique experiences like singing on the Grand Ole’ Opry stage, backing up Johnny & June Cash at a Cash/Rivers family reunion and performing with many of Gospel music’s premier groups at North America’s largest events. However, experience has taught this family that the smaller things in life are often the most rewarding!
Canada's Double Portion have been nominated for Group of the Year numerous times and have received multiple awards for Album, Song of the Year and Live Band of the Year in the Gospel Music Association Canada. Tours in 2019 are taking them to events like the Canadian Gospel Music Celebration in Red Deer, AB, "Preacher in the Patch" crusades throughout the North Central U.S., and concerts across the U.S. and Canada. They continue to see children's lives changed through their partnership with Compassion Canada and are heard on the radio airwaves through the 1/2 radio program Foursquare Gospel Tidings.
They are thankful for every opportunity they have to share the Gospel!
